Versarien partners with textile manufacturer OG-Classic on graphene-enhanced garments

Versarien has announced a partnership with sports and leisurewear manufacturer OG Classic, to integrate its Graphene-Wear technology into its enhanced team sports and leisurewear product line.

The partnership will see graphene-enhanced fabrics emerge into the Middle Eastern market with Versarien’s Graphene-Wear technology featuring in apparel lines by the Dubai-based manufacturer.

Q36.5, producer of advanced cycling clothing, has launched a line of bike shirts made of yarn that integrates graphene in the fabric (rather than using the material as a treatment).

Versarien's tech to be used in new Umbro training kit

Versarien has announced that its Graphene-Wear technology will be incorporated in Umbro's top-of-the-range Pro-Training Kit for the Spring/Summer collection 2023. Umbro and Versarien have been working on several projects since 2018, and this is the first one that will reach the market.

Versarien and Umbro say that the Graphene-Wear formula will enable wearers to experience enhanced thermal transmittance, increased moisture management and drying rate of the garments. The garments will have Versarien's Graphene-Wear trademark applied.

WearGraphene's graphene-enhanced jacket - a hands-on review

WearGraphene recently launched its Gamma graphene-enhanced winter jacket. I have spent a couple of months with this jacket, including two trips to Europe during the springtime, and here's my review.

First of all, the jacket looks very sleek (in my opinion, of course), the material feels of high quality. It is quite light, and packs very easily. There are many pockets, Velcro bands and drawstrings, which is really useful and helps you to customize this jacket so that it fits perfectly.

Directa Plus enters agreement to develop graphene-based products for auto interiors market

Directa Plus has announced the signing of a non-binding Letter of Intent (LOI) with a leading worldwide supplier of automotive interiors to Tier 1 manufacturers to develop new products using its graphene plus technology.

The products will be based on the antimicrobial properties (antibacterial and antiviral), thermal comfort and electrical conductivity properties of Directa Plus’ G+ enhanced fabrics, according to the company's statements.

Haydale's GNPs to improve textiles used by iCraft and Pro-Spec

Haydale has announced that, following the successful incorporation of graphene nano-platelets (GNPs) in its cosmetic face mask sheets and PPE face masks, iCraft is using Haydale’s functionalized GNPs in its graphene-coated fabric, THERMiT.

In order to grant increased performance in terms of thermal and antibacterial properties, Haydale’s plasma functionalized GNPs have been used to coat the nylon fibers in the lining of a down jacket. The graphene coated fabric, THERMiT, was supplied to South Korean sports apparel brand, Pro-Specs, for use in a new graphene-enhanced jacket. The initial production run of 8,000 items, which was available in store and online, sold out within weeks of being released.

Versarien announces collaboration with Superdry to develop graphene-enhanced clothing

Versarien has announced a commercial collaboration agreement with DKH Retail Limited, the worldwide wholesale distribution subsidiary of global fashion brand Superdry, to produce graphene-enhanced clothes.

Through the partnership, Superdry will develop graphene-enhanced garments, using Versarien's GRAPHENE-WEARTM technology, aiming to utilize graphene's thermal and moisture management properties into its garments.

Reebok announces a new clothing line enhanced with graphene

Reebok launched a new apparel collection, called Thermowarm+Graphene, that uses graphene to help retain heat. Reebok says that by printing graphene on the internal side of the clothing, it helps to retain between 8% and 15% more heat than areas without graphene (that depends on the base fabric the graphene is printed on).

The new collection includes hoodies, jackets and pants. The collection is now available globally on Reebok's online store, with prices ranging from $70 to $140 USD. Reebok plans to release more options in the collection in the future.
