CAP-XX is a designer and manufacturer of thin, flat supercapacitors and energy management systems used in portable and small-scale electronic devices.
The unique feature of CAP-XX supercapacitors is their very high power density and high energy storage capacity in a space-efficient prismatic package. These attributes are essential in power-hungry consumer and industrial electronics, and delivers similar benefits in automotive and other transportation applications.
In May 2022, CAP-XX formed a joint venture for what it calls a "transformational new graphene material" with Ionic Industries.
Ionic Industries develops new forms of graphene for a variety of markets, and involves the commercialization of reduced graphene oxide (rGO) for supercapacitors and other energy storage devices.
CAP-XX will manufacture and sell supercapacitors and energy storage devices using rGO, on behalf of the joint venture, under the CAP-XX brand.
Its customers are expected to receive samples around mid-2024.
