Dongxu, also known as Tungshu, was established in 1997 and its headquarters and R&D center are located in Beijing. With roots in the optoelectronic display industry, it now has become a industrial investment enterprise focused on the optoelectronic display and renewable energy industries, while also covering financing, urbanization and real estate. The Tunghsu Group, with yearly revenues of over $5 Billion USD, has 40 subsidiaries under direct management with 100% share control or majority control, among which two are listed companies.
Tunghsu Group has successively invested in and established over 20 production lines of flat panel display glass substrates and a production base for graphene, sapphire and color filters in Beijing, Shijiazhuang, Zhengzhou, Wuhu, Chengdu, Mianyang, Yingkou, Kunshan, Zhenjiang and other cities. It has recently released the G-king, a graphene-based battery line, signed agreements with graphene companies (ICN2 included) and invested in many graphene initiatives.
In September 2017 Tongshu Optroelectronic announced a new range of graphene-enhance LEDs. These new LEDs use graphene for heat dissipation and are said to be 75% smaller and 30% lighter compared to the companyâs regular LEDs. Power saving is around 20-30% and the lights also offer better light distribution. Tongshu claimed to have installed 200,000 graphene-enhanced LEDs in Beijing and in the Zheziang and Hainan provinces in China.
