This OCE Postdoctoral Fellowship opportunity is within the Manufacturing Flagship, within a multi-disciplinary team led by the Science Leader of the Office of Chief Executive, Professor K. Ostrikov. As the Postdoctoral Fellow, you will develop and exploit novel, effective and time-efficient techniques to characterise and print the graphene inks and will be responsible for the synthesis, characterisation, and device testing of the printed energy devices, specifically supercapacitors.
The successful applicant will be required to intermittently travel to the Energy Storage Devices and Printed Electronics Laboratories at Clayton, Victoria to prepare devices from the inks.
Duties will include:
- Under guidance, develop printable graphene inks from chemical or plasma synthesized graphenes.
- Investigate and test the performance of printed supercapacitors using the inks.
- Communicate the outputs of the studies in the form of high quality scientific publications, conference papers and talks.
- Contribute to the development of innovative concepts and ideas for further research.
- Undertake CSIRO’s postdoctoral training program.
