New graphene-enhanced BAC supercar enters production at Liverpool factory
Briggs Automotive Company (BAC) has started production of the new Mono R a higher-performance, lighter and more advanced new generation of the Mono supercar. The new Mono R supercar will be distributed around the world and will be on display at a number of new global dealer partners situated in the USA, Singapore, and Germany.
The Mono R includes 44 graphene-enhanced carbon composite body panels that have been restyled to give Mono R a more aggressive stance. The BAC website states: Mono R is the first production car in the world incorporating revolutionary material graphene in its panels, contributing to a kerbweight of just 555kg. The pinnacle of cutting-edge innovation, R sets the bar for what’s possible from technology in the supercar industry.
SensFit Technologies partners with Footwork Podiatric Laboratory to develop graphene-enhanced smart orthotics
SensFit Technologies developed a smart shoe with inbuilt sensors, aiming to improve the quality of life of older people through the early detection of dementia, diabetic ulcers and other physical activity issues. Now, SensFit has announced that it is partnering with Footwork Podiatric Laboratory, a leading Australian custom-made orthotic manufacturer to develop Smart Orthotics to help diabetic ulcer treatment.
This product combines two innovative technologies: Sensfit’s unique graphene sensors integrated with AI and data analysis technology, combined with Footwork’s 3D printing technology to custom manufacture large volume orthotics.
Q36.5 launches graphene-enhanced cycling clothes
Q36.5, producer of advanced cycling clothing, has launched a line of bike shirts made of yarn that integrates graphene in the fabric (rather than using the material as a treatment).
The "Clima Jersey" line is said to be made from a polyester fabric infused with graphene, and takes advantage of graphene’s conductive and heat dissipation properties to provide cutting edge thermoregulation, helping the wearer to stay cool and dry during hard efforts.
Versarien launches Lunar 3D printed lifestyle pods
Versarien, an advanced engineering materials group and provider of graphene-enhanced cement admixture, recently announced the launch of its "Lunar" lifestyle pods. Lunar is Versarien's first 3D printed concrete product made with Cementene, Versarien's graphene-enhanced cement.
The launch involved Neill Ricketts, CEO of Versarien, unveiling a building printed with Cementene, at the Company's production facilities in Longhope, Gloucestershire. Known as Versarien Lunar, this is a milestone project for a 3D-concrete printed product with a graphene additive. The versatile pods can be used as an office, studio, gym, or leisure room. The pod's wall design shows the level of detail, flexibility and precision that can be achieved with 3D-concrete printing.
Graphenea launches Cartridge S2X for easy fabrication of graphene-based sensors
Graphenea has released a new product intended to make sensing with graphene easier: The Cartridge S2X, a package that interfaces the graphene microdevice and the electrical equipment used for its readout.
The cartridge has a small cleft onto which to place the GFET die, just below the electronics module with gentle pogo contacts to the graphene chip. The contacts are placed for seamless integration with Graphenea's S20, S21, S20P and S21P graphene chips that are especially designed for biosensing. The design makes use of 8 connections to the chip, including six source electrodes, one drain, and one gate. The pins are routed to a standard 8-pin BNC connector, for an easy and robust link to external measurement equipment.
Honor Magic 4 series to adopt graphene cooling tech
The Honor Magic 4 Pro is about to be launched, and it is said to join a long list of mobile devices with graphene-based cooling technology.
The Honor Magic 4 series will reportedly adopt 'third-generation graphene technology superconducting hexagonal graphene' that improves the thermal conductivity by 50% compared with the first-generation graphene.
New industrial computer with graphene-based cooling technology
Interworld Electronics has released the BOXER-6641-PRO multi-core embedded controller from Aaeon, with a unique fan-less graphene heat sink chassis design that ensures an unprecedented operating temperature range of -40°C to 70°C.
Graphene-based cooling tech seems to be gaining popularity and is incorporated in various computer components (like MSI's RTX 3000 series GPUs), cellphones (like realme's GT 2 series, ZTE's Axon 30, Xiaomi's Mi 10 Ultra, various Huawei phones), and more.
Indian company launches new coating based on graphene dispersions by Applied Graphene Materials
Applied Graphene Materials (AGM) has announced that Stanvac-Superon Group, an India-based manufacturer of industrial repair and maintenance solutions, has launched a conductive coating incorporating AGM’s Genable graphene dispersions, for use on industrial power transmission equipment.
Following successful development and testing, the new protective, conductive coating incorporating AGM’s A-GNP35 graphene dispersions will reduce contact resistance in coated copper and aluminium electrical cable joints to reduce the power lost over the connection.
Applied Graphene Materials launches new graphene-enhanced range of coatings, paints and additives
Applied Graphene Materials (AGM) has announced the introduction of two new products based on its GNPs.
The Company has launched a range of industrial anti-corrosion paint incorporating its Genable graphene additives. The two epoxy-based prototype primer systems are said the AGM to represent an easy way for those considering the adoption of graphene to quickly test and evaluate its potential benefits.
realme uses graphene-based cooling tech in its new GT 2 mobile phone series announced in China
realme has announced its new GT 2 series, marking the company’s first steps into the premium segment. The GT 2 series, equipped with various top-notch gear and AMOLED panels, is also said to be sporting a graphene-based cooling system.
As is the case with various other mobile phones and gadgets by the likes of Huawei and ZTE, the new GT 2 series will use a 3D liquid-cooled VC and graphene sheet cooling technology.
