Graphene products: introduction and market status - Page 8
Gigabyte launches a new graphics card with a graphene lubricant
Gigabyte launched a new graphic cards that uses a graphene lubricant that is said to extend the lifetime of the fan by 2.1 times, almost like a double ball bearing design - and it also makes the fab quieter compared to the company's designs that do not use graphene.
The GeForce RTX 3070 EAGLE OC 8G rev 2.0 features Nvidia's RTX 3070 GPU clocked at 1725 Mhz, with 8GB of GDDR6 memory. It is now shipping at $1,199.
Graphene-XT develops graphene-enhanced lubricating oil additive for engines
Researchers at Graphene-XT have developed a new graphene-based lubricating oil additive for diesel and petrol engines in cars or motorcycles.
By introducing graphene into a lubricating oil, Graphene-XT found that both its performance and stability improved, resulting in more compression and less wear and tear in the engine parts of both cars and motorcycles.
First Graphene updates on commercial use of PureGRAPH
First Graphene (FGR) has provided an update on the progress of the commercial use of its pureGRAPH product line and the product launches from early adopters of its PureGRAPH products.
FGR shared that Aquatic Leisure Technologies (ALT) has used a PureGRAPH enhanced laminate system to develop a new range of swimming pools launched under Aqua Technics. The new graphene nano-tech pool range is said to provide multiple quality improvements with ALT upgrading equipment and processes to implement commercial-scale production. This means PureGraph will be standard in all new Aqua Technics pools.
Korean fiber maker Huvis announces mass-production of graphene fibers
A leading Korean fiber producer called Huvis has reportedly begun to mass-produce graphene fibers.
The Company said that since graphene has such poor dispersibility, synthesis with PET (polyester) polymer is not considered easy. As a result, according to Huvis, most of the graphene fibers developed so far have either substandard graphene content, or the fiber is coated with a graphene material - which Huvis says makes them inferior (and is the reason that the graphene fibers available in the market are black or gray).
Paragraf introduces graphene Hall sensor optimized for cryogenic applications
Paragraf recently introduced the GHS-C Graphene Hall Sensor (GHS), providing a viable approach to measuring magnetic field strengths of 7 Tesla (T) and above, at temperature extremes below 3 Kelvin (K).
Graphene Hall sensor enables the accurate measurement of high magnetic field strengths at cryogenic temperatures, increasing manufacturing throughput by quicker magnet mapping, replacing existing NMR probe mapping stages. The cryogenic sensor also allows measurements directly in cold bore, removing the need for room temperature inserts giving quality data and time savings.
Tru Tension launches new spray for bikes using Applied Graphene Materials' GNPs
Applied Graphene Materials has announced that its partnership with Tru-Tension has resulted in the launch of a new detailing spray enhanced with AGM’s graphene nanoplatelet technology.
UK-based Tru-Tension designs and manufactures products for biking enthusiasts, that include tools, cleaning products, lubricants and accessories. Following in-house research and testing, the manufacturer claims that the new formulation enhanced with AGM’s industry-leading Genable® graphene dispersion technology delivers extended performance benefits.
Clothing brand 878 developed a graphene-enhanced smart sailing jacket
High-performance clothing brand 878 developed a new smart sailing jacket, called Project One. The jacket utilizes graphene-enhanced materials to enable high flexibility and weatherproofing while still being extremely lightweight.
The jacket also features a small flexible E Ink display produced by Plastic Logic. The display is connected to your boat's systems via Bluetooth to show navigational and other kinds of information.
Trane Technologies launches graphene-enhanced air purification system for public buses
Trane Technologies’ Thermo King brand has launched a new graphene-based air purification solution for buses that continuously purifies the air while the bus is in operation.
Thermo King says its Air Purification Solution has been independently tested and proven to be 98 percent effective in deactivating certain viruses, including a surrogate for the virus that causes COVID-19.
Hermès launches a new watch collection that includes a graphene-enhanced model
The famous fashion brand Hermès has recently launched its new H08 Collection of watches, said to be the "sportiest timepiece series to date", which includes a graphene-enhanced model.
The H08 collection consists of three models, each differing in their case materials and strap options, but otherwise featuring the same overall design. The darkest of the group features a graphene-enhanced composite case with a satin-brushed ceramic bezel.
Inov-8 launches new graphene-enhanced trail running shoes
The collaboration between the University of Manchester and British sportswear brand Inov-8 started in 2017 and has already produced the G-Series range of graphene-enhanced shoes as well as a pair of hiking boots which utilize graphene, and also the X-Talon range of footwear. Now, Inov-8 has unveiled its latest trail running shoe, which is designed with new Graphene-enhanced foam.
The cushioned foam, called 'G-Fly’, features as part of inov-8’s Trailfly Ultra G 300 Max shoe - a product aimed at "ultra runners".
