The UK based Perpetuus Carbon, producer and global supplier of high quality functionalized graphene, signed a preliminary agreement to achieve full commercial partnership and manufacturing agreement with G24 Power, a leading dye sensitized solar cell (DSSC) company from the UK.
Perpetuus is to provide functionalized graphene, in sheet or roll form, for G24’s production of a range of advanced graphene-enabled components. G24 reportedly has manufacturing capabilities of thousands of metres of components per month for use in areas like resistance heating, biosensor platforms, barrier packaging, composite physical reinforcements, water treatment, fuel cell membranes, thermal management and heat dissipation, EMI shielding, electrodes for batteries and supercapacitors and LI-AIR battery cathodes.
The use of functionalized graphene enables thermal conductivity of more than 500 W/M°K, along with surface resistivity of less than 1 ?/sq to be achieved on rolls of material. This can be produced at specific thicknesses, on specific substrates, for components which can be used in aerospace, marine, automotive, energy generation and energy storage industries.
On 19-20th November 2014, PCG and G24 will exhibit samples of these new graphene-enabled components at IDtechEx Graphene Live! and Printed Electronics USA 2014 in Santa Clara, California.
The companies expressed their hopes of this collaboration furthering their commercial capabilities in the field of graphene-enabled components. In February 2014, Perpetuus announced its entrance into the graphene supply market, with the production of customer-tailored surface modified graphene materials (excellent quality stacked graphene flakes) in its new 100 annual ton facility.
